ISTE Certification – Why I am excited to learn!

I haven’t blogged for a while now, partly due to how busy my new consultancy business is and partly because I am working on a more engaging way of connecting my ideas, thoughts and resources to you as an audience (more to come in the New Year).

However, I wanted to share my excitement about my upcoming weekend of professional learning.

This weekend I am attending the 21CL ISTE certification program in Singapore and I am pumped.

As an educational leader for the last 5 years in schools and now as an independent edtech consultant, I very rarely have the opportunity to have targetted professional learning for myself, instead I help schools in leading PD for them or connecting them to the best opportunities available.

This is going to be amazing. A weekend of onsite learning, followed by some online learning and a digital portfolio submission to become an ISTE certified educator.

As I have shared before here and on my social media, I am an advocate for ISTE and their standards to guide and support the EdTech learning and EdTech models in schools. I have extensive experience integrating these as an Educational leader in my previous role and now I get to learn from others who have been, and will be in the future, on the same journey.

I will update you next week with my initial thoughts on the program but without doubt I am excited to learn and engage an a topic I am extremely passionate about. Stay tuned for my update next week but in the meantime look into the certification yourself in these upcoming locations :
