Today’s post is short and sweet and very important!
Although yesterday was #InternationalDayOfHappiness I only just had the chance to share this now.
While scrolling through my Twitter stream I saw this amazing image called “Ten keys to happier living”, using the acronym GREAT DREAMS to ‘spell it out’, and it stuck with me!
The International day of happiness is a global celebration to mark the United Nations International Day of Happiness. It is coordinated by Action for Happiness, a non-profit movement of people from 160 countries, supported by a partnership of like-minded organizations.
A profound shift in attitudes is underway all over the world. People are now recognizing that ‘progress’ should be about increasing human happiness and wellbeing, not just growing the economy.
I love that the focus here is on doing things for others and looking after your self, while strategically setting goals and having ambition and meaning.
I believe that EVERY DAY should be a day of happiness and we need to spread this far and wide. Not only should it be set aside for one day but every day in every educational organization should be a chance to celebrate, be happy and live life to the fullest.
